GCSE & A Level revision and study skills
Practical help with revision, organisation and exam preparation for dyslexic students, those with literacy difficulties, or young people who find revision challenging.
Does your young person spend hours revising but struggle to remember what they have studied? Perhaps they feel overwhelmed by their revision timetable, they find written notes difficult to condense and remember, or they simply don't know where to start.
I work with young people to develop study strategies that suit them, breaking revision into manageable steps and helping them become more confident, independent learners.

What we can work on together
We start with what your teenager finds difficult to revise and why, which strategies are already working well, and how to prioritise specific subjects. We also explore which ways of learning work best for them, so strategies are tailored to suit them.

How sessions work
Starting from what your teenager needs
We begin by talking about what feels difficult, what already helps and what your teenager would like to achieve. Sessions use their own school materials, so the strategies connect with the work they need to do.
The aim is for your teenager to leave with practical approaches they can use between sessions, with opportunities to review and adapt them together.
Built on recognised practice
This focus matches the British Dyslexia Association's training on practical strategies for revision and exam technique, which covers revision strategies, memory and exam technique for dyslexic learners.

Is this subject tuition?
The focus is on how to study and organise learning. Sessions complement the subject teaching your teenager receives at school.
Does my teenager need a dyslexia diagnosis?
Support from me does not depend on a diagnosis. Sessions are open to dyslexic students, those with literacy difficulties, or young people who simply find revision challenging.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are in person: at school, or after school at home, or on weekend mornings.
